Dell built a real winner. Performs perfect! A perfect balance of components. Just the right amount of speed and incredible battery life. I’ve been shopping for Dell for a couple months now. Amazon sealed the deal with this incredible price. I like Amazon, and standing to Dell. I showed my employer this laptop last night and he bought one immediately. I may pick up another one for my Protect.
I was looking for a travel computer to fit into a backpack for airplane carry-on. I never felt comfortable taking the 15″ laptop. This fits the bill perfectly. This unit is nice! Distinguished def screen is impressive. Typing is relatively simple on smaller keyboard. The trackboard really has some nice features that make a travel mouse excessive for the small term. The black glossy take in does make it seem as if you just got home from your job at the vaseline factory but I get the same sensation when I look at the ear end of my cell phone. Where did that come from? There are other reviews here that eloquently describe the technical features that elevate this computer above most netbooks. Read now and believe now. This is a gem. Excellent things do come in small packages! Standing to Amazon, this cost much less than on the Dell site.
Not even in Dell web site I would get a so excellent purchasing.
I’m completely satisfied with my new note/net-tome, cause is more than I expected to and Amazon.com was very promptly and prestative.
Small, light and powerful. Over 4 and a half hours on battery. I do wish I had known it did not have a female fifteen pin plug. I can’t use it in the classrooms where I teach because none of them have projectors with hdmi. Now I am in the promote for an adapter.
I had an 8.9″ Acer netbook with Atom processor which I was pleased with, but it had it’s limitations. Screen mass was too small for some apps, and required a lot of scrolling with particular web pages. The processor, although excellent enough for most applications, struggled with flash and video. Because of this, I started to look for an ultraportable with a full featured processor.
I found the Dell 11z and it had everything I was looking for and it was cheaper on Amazon than on the Dell website. It’s dual core processor can handle practically anything you throw at it. It is not a netbook. It’s a full featured ultraportable laptop.
Pros:
Mass and weight
ULV Dual Core Processor
Plenty of RAM and HD interval
Slightly larger than a netbook with laptop performance
Fantastic show
Windows 7
Cons:
No Bluetooth
No internal DVD drive
A lot has been said about the touchpad. Most of it is right. It takes some getting ancient to, but it’s not as terrible as you may read, and some of the features are really useful. You can also disable most of the multi touch functions which reduces it’s functions to a regular touchpad.
